Gretchen Allabach Lopez
Gretchen began her dance training at the Ballet School of Chapel Hill and performed with the Chapel Hill Dance Theater. She attended the University of North Carolina School of the Arts in Contemporary Dance, completing her high school education and receiving a BFA in 2006. While at UNCSA, she performed in works by Natalie Bowers, Gerri Houlihan, Dianne Markham, Kevin Wynn, Brenda Daniels, and Teri and Oliver Steele. Gretchen had the pleasure of training with the Doug Varone Company, Paul Taylor Company, Jose Limon Company, and at the American Dance Festival. Upon graduation, she became fully certified in the STOTT PILATES method and is a specialist in Group Mat, Interdisciplinary, Athletic and Dance training. She taught for a decade at health facilities in Manhattan. Gretchen recently relocated back to North Carolina with her husband and their three young children and is so thrilled to be a part of the Ballet School faculty.
